The story of westland
In 1984, Dr. John Bisango and the people of Houston's First Baptist Church, planted a church in Katy, Texas. In November of 1988, when Westland was averaging 30 in attendance, Pastor Roy Meadows became the pastor and began leading the church to "Reach the Lost and Develop All Believers Into Fully Devoted Followers of Christ". In the following years, over 700 people have publicly professed Christ as Lord by being water baptized. Now, each year many hundreds of people serve using their God-given gifts to share the "Good News" of salvation through Jesus Christ. Westland is reaching people on their campus, their community, their state and the world.
