My
desire is to be a man who loves God, loves and leads my wife and children
and to be a pastor who leads the people of Westland to "...reach the lost
and develop all believers into fully devoted followers of Christ". God is
good and has been so good to me. My wife, Sharon, loves her Savior and loves
our children Jeremiah, Linse, Bethany and James. I was blessed to be raised
in a family that taught me about God's love and His plan for my life. I
received Christ as a child. Although, for a time as a teenager I did not
serve Christ, God was faithful to "...return the joy of His salvation..."
to me. At the age of 19, I sensed that God was calling me to be a pastor.
For over 30 years, I have had the privilege of leading God's people to fulfill
the mission of the church.
The past years at
Westland have been filled with exciting life changes. Many people have
accepted Christ as their Savior and are now helping their friends and
family members do the same. In 1988, we began meeting in a restaurant
and in August of this 2001 we began meeting in a state of the art, 33,000
square foot facility on a 16 acre campus on the Grand Parkway.
