“The Wow Factor“, the Women’s Ministry at Westland provides a multitude of Bible studies and events to help you grow and encourage you as a Christian woman. Whether single, married, a mother or not, young or seasoned you will find love and caring in our Women’s Ministry.
Praying Nana’s – We meet the first Tuesday of every month in the Prayer Room at 1:30pm to pray for our grandchildren. Facilitated by Debbie Brooks
Bible Studies
- Brown Bag Study, Restore My Heart by Denise Glenn – join us each Thursday beginning February 2nd for six weeks as we explore God’s Word about Christ’s love for you and His invitation to you. From noon to 1:00, bring your lunch. Facilitated by Edna Conner Class fee – $20.00 includes workbook.
- James, Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore – What good is your faith? Be inspired to put your faith in action as we explore such concepts as joy, hardship, faith, wisdom, single-mindedness, the tongue, humility, prayer and more. Join us each Monday morning beginning February 6th at 10:00am for seven weeks. Facilitated by Linda Price Class Fee – $20.00 includes workbook.
Women Mentoring Women Ministry - next coffee – in August 2012 - This is a wonderful ministry, whether you need a mentor or need to mentor as you share your life with fellow women in our church. Facilitated by Debbie Cecil and Mickie Marshall

- W.O.W – Women of Westland – February 6th at 6:30pm. Join us for a great time of fellowship, food, fun, encouragement and girlfriend time as we explore “Sole Mates” what do your feet have to do with Jesus?
Retreats and Conferences
- Abundance Conference in Houston at Champion Forest Baptist Church – March 23-24, 2012. Because we have been given so much! We are making plans to attend this conference as a group. This is going to be a great conference with lots and lots of hands on experiences… some of the featured speakers are Lisa Harper Angela Thomas, Jennifer Rothschild, Kelly Minter and Tammi Head. Cece Winans and Anthony Evans will be special music guests and the last word was worship lead by Travis Cottrel… sounds like and amazing life-changing weekend. Tickets are $79.00
- Women of Faith Retreat in San Antonio -October 12th and 13th 2012 -We are making plans to go as a group to San Antonio to this awesome conference.
