“The Wow Factor“, the Women’s Ministry at Westland provides a multitude of Bible studies and events to help you grow and encourage you as a Christian woman. Whether single, married, a mother or not, young or seasoned you will find love and caring in our Women’s Ministry.

 Spring Tea and Fashion Show  

Sunday, May 6^th from 3:00 – 4:30pm in the gym at Westland.  

For women and girls of all ages, from” toddlers to seasoned saints” and everyone in between.    

The event is $5.00 per person or $40.00 for a table of eight.

Praying Nana’s – We meet the first Tuesday of every month in the Prayer Room  at 1:30pm to pray for our grandchildren.  Facilitated by Debbie Brooks – mark your calendar for May 1st, a great way to begin the month.

Bible Studies

• Brown Bag Study, One in a Million, journey to your promised land  by Priscilla Shirer  –  join us each Thursday beginning April 12th  for six weeks as we explore God’s Word about experiencing His power, hearing His voice and living in the abundance God has promised to  you.  From noon to 1:00, bring your lunch.   Facilitated by Edna Conner   Class fee – $12.00includes workbook.
• Spanish Bible Study for Spanish speakers “Daniel ” by Beth Moore. Beginning March 20th at 6:30pm.  This study examines both the life of the prophet Daniel and the teachings from this biblical book.   Facilitated by Isa Gil. Class fee is $20.00 includes workbook.

The M&M Sisterhood Mentoring  Ministry - The M&M Sisterhood is sporting a “new face”.  Plan to attend the next coffee – in August 2012 -  This is a wonderful ministry, whether you need a mentor or need to mentor as you share your life with fellow women in our church.  Facilitated by Debbie Cecil and Mickie Marshall – Packets will be available in June 2012

Girls Night Out Events

• W.O.W – Women of Westland Summer “Dip” Party   – June 11th at 6:30pm .  Join us for a great time of fellowship, food, fun, encouragement and girlfriend time.  Bring your favorite dip and “dunker” (i.e.:chips, crackers…).   We will share a word from the Lord , feast on our favorite dips and play BUNCO.

• Women of Faith Retreat in San Antonio -October 12th and 13th 2012 -We are making plans to go as a group to San Antonio to this awesome conference.  We are gearing up for the 2012 conference -  reserve your ticket today.  Tickets are $89.00 plus hotel costs.
